Since I am impatient and because when I get on the plane I intend on going right to sleep so that I can get a somewhat full night of sleep on my 7 and a half hour plane ride to Madrid, I couldn't help myself and read her letter now.
So as I sat here, enjoying a glass of wine (compliments of Delta) along with some hummus and fresh veggies, I read Mom's first note. Amongst a very touchy note of how much I mean to her, her moral for the day was "you have worked very hard for the last 30 years to get to where you are today in your life, now sit back, relax and enjoy the next 30 years. Everything you need, the universe will provide".
Thanks Mom. This is exactly what I needed right now as I leave my current word behind (if only for 2 short weeks) and contemplate on what to do next.
Now the next 2 hours need to go by much faster so that I can be in the air and on my way. Let's hope this weather doesn't delay my flight.
