Day 5: Rest Day (Acebo to Foncebadon)

After a tough couple of days, my feet were begging for a break, so I decided to be kind to them and take a day off. After getting a cup of coffee in Acebo were I stayed last night, I decided to take a cab to my next destination, Foncebadon, where my new friends were going to meet us that evening.

Since I got to the village in the morning, and couldn't check into my hotel until noon, Leigh Ann and I decided to go your the Castle of Templars.  It was wonderful.

Once we were able to check in, both of us has all the intentions to work on updating our respective blogs, however as soon as we sat down on our beds, we knocked right out for an afternoon siesta for about 4 hours.   How I totally understand the Spaniards and their siesta tradition.

After a nap, some errands (which included finding a laundry service - which in a town is much harder to find than I thought)  we met the boys for some pasta at an Italian restaurant with a delicious bottle of wine.

My footsies were very happy with me at the end of the day.

Because of the rest day however I am now on a somewhat tight schedule to get to Santiago.   If I may have to do a couple of short days and take a cab or a his for part of the day to make it easier I my feet and actually be able to make it to Santiago before my flight next Sunday.
