The beginning of a NYC Capter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino

Last week I got an email from a couple of fellow Camino Pilgrims that they were considering creating a local NYC Chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino.  Today I met with two of them, Vince & Tracy, to discuss our strategy for joining forces and creating a local chapter here in New York.  Although I have personally considered this in the last couple of weeks, I haven't had a chance to reach out to the American Pilgrims on the Camino yet to see what we need to do to become an official local chapter of the organization.      I am happy to be able to join forces with Tracy and Vince in creating this chapter since they have already done the legwork to figure out how to become an official chapter.  It is so great to see that there are like minded people here in our NYC back yard who want to make this a reality.

I'd like to personally thank Vince & Tracy for taking the time to figure out how we can make this local chapter a reality.  By affiliating our meetup group with the official organization, we'll be able to host more events, connect more fellow NYC Camino Pilgrims together, provide mentoring to Camino newbies and keep the spirit of the Camino alive.

Stay tuned for more news on the local NYC Chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino.
